Viral Marketing is essentially a marketing strategy intended to help marketers generate huge traffic, exposure and massive bottom lines. Surely the word ‘viral’ bears close resemblance to ‘virus’, our most popular flu bug. Viral marketing will do wonders for marketers if only its power is drawn and used effectively.

How can viral marketing be of effective help to our online business? What sort of advantages and benefits can viral marketing give us?

Blogging is an activity that has changed our landscape on the internet so dramatically that millions of blogs are floating in the blogosphere right now. How do we view blogging and the outcomes of indulging in it like a drug addict is to drug? How much do we know about and to what extent the power of blogging can impact upon our online business?

Even in the mortar-and-brick business, we need to look at certain factors to put our business into trim and fit shape. We often look at good ideas for our product or service, the greatness of the product or service itself, how visible is our product or service, and what comprises support to achieve our goals.

Let’s look at each factor individually:-

It is beneficial to our online business if we often have good ideas to further improve it. Blogging, with its intrinsic characteristics, will surely bring about the formation of a community of reading participants, large enough to positively affect your online business.

Through your blog, internal communication is greatly enhanced. Information can be viewed through the blog, similarly minded people can share exchange of views and interests through the blog. The power of blogging brings out the beauty of the blog - it keeps your team informed and motivated at all times. Great ideas can be easily archived and viewed any time. There is common ground to work with passion. The blog does it all in rendering support for better internal communication.

How do you write an extremely powerful headline and content body for your online marketing campaign? Have you ever wondered why some marketers sell very well and easily their products or services? There’s no secret whatsoever for their success. It is simply due to great copywriting! Below are great copywriting tips that will help you to write effectively.

For your online marketing campaign, it is important that you draft a marketing copy that bears a catchy name and has a headline of about 10-25 words to describe it. The sole purpose for this is to lure traffic to your website i.e. to initiate or increase your subscribers’ list. Remember that your list must have a name which should preferably be tied to your niche product or service. Another important point is that your headline must stand out prominently i.e. it must grab readers’ attention immediately.

There are various ways a powerful attention-grabbing headline can be formulated. It is recommended that words denoting “power” be used . This is because there is this need to alert readers to your headline and immediately grab their attention to read on. Furthermore, such “power” words will impact readers to take immediate action. Several “power” words that can be used to grab attention include secrets, success, proven, unleash, power, guaranteed, and free, just to name a few.

Besides usage of “power” words, it is also recommended that power phrases be used to support the power of “power” words. Examples of such power phrases include “success is guaranteed”, “proven strategies that work”, ” unleash your inner power”, and many others. Such a strategy will further enhance the success of your marketing campaign. You just have to put in more “punch power” in your headline!

What’s the key to success in copywriting, you may ask? It is not difficult to the extent that it is unachievable. Let me assure you that writing your marketing copy is actually quite easy and straightforward. If there is a product or service to be sold online, much homework regarding what niche product or service to sell, what target market to reach to, how to aggressively fine-tune promotional strategies, and how to close readily your visitors, all these should have had been planned at the outset of the marketing campaign. There is only the need to stay confident in your product or service, put your belief that this campaign is the on the right track, and importantly, be able to answer positively to online queries.

It must be clear that the intention on your marketing copy is essentially drawing the interest of the visitors. We must not be mistaken that the direction of the copy is not towards sales-pitching. We have to first of all stimulate the interest of the reader to what the product or service can potentially do, as shown by the “power” words in the headline. So it is our intention to attract or lure visitors and then to close in on their wallets. It just cannot be the other way around.

Another copywriting tip is that you do not use too much of “power” words though they are stressed as important and will contribute to effectiveness of your headline. Too much of anything in general is not going to be pleasing to the visitor. It will do more harm than good. Use “power” words in moderation to achieve the ideal impact upon the visitor. Last but not least, do not put all your “power” words in bold. It will turn out to be irritating and unsightly. It will turn off the visitors in no time.

Every marketer, I’m sure, would want to build beneficial and long-lasting relationships with his or her customers. In so doing, customers will then be more attentive, engaged and loyal to their marketers reciprocally. Customer retention will positively affect your credibility in the long run. Who wouldn’t wish for such scenario especially when the ultimate results will most probably be higher sales and profits, coupled with the possibility of increasing your customer database?

    Good blogging

    Blogging is the recent phenomenon that has hit the internet with full impact. We know that it is here to stay. There are millions of blogs in the so-called blogosphere today. I am pretty sure every blogger wants his blog to show up top of Google search engine. Before you can achieve that, your blog has to get enough traffic and repeat readers . What then, you may ask, must be done in order to achieve these results?

    To exhibit good blogging, the blogger must stimulate initial reader interest. He must show real enthusiasm in whatever topics he is writing about. This is because the readers will fall in love with his material if they find it interesting, and if the material has quality too. Often, the content in your blog will receive good conversational time. New readers will flow to your blog.

    No two bloggers are the same. Every blog is different in many ways. One blogger writes in a style that differs from that of another blogger. That blogger may probably interest you with a surprise topic, which would make you a return visitor to his blog. The important point here is that if you want to show good blogging, you will have no choice but to write stylishly. Make an impression with the reader through great writing.

    Constantly writing new posts or updating earlier posts will certainly not make the reader disappointed should he returns to your blog. It will help to keep readers coming back for more material. From the business sense of view, frequent posting will increase your traffic numerics. Therefore, good blogging requires the blogger to spend about an hour a day to do some reading and writing.

    The blogger has to be diligent and source for latest information if he does not has the material on hand, in order to post it to his blog. If he has a topic on mind, it is content ready for posting. To be well-equipped, the blogger has to be well-read and kept informed at all times on topics of his interest. It will be to his advantage that the blogger remembers he is actually preparing his content specially for his readers, and not the other way round. Good blogging requires bloggers to be mindful of this truth.

    In posting content to the blog, the blogger must realize that readers do write comments before leaving. There is no need to feel offended in case of receiving negative feedback. We should be open to such comments and improve our posts. We should help readers with their problems. Interaction and dialogue with the readers are integral to good blogging. Importantly, the blogger has to handle criticisms well, and not react with aggressive defensiveness.

    In all honesty, be honest. This is the most significant truth of good blogging. The spirit of good blogging lies in honest interaction and dialogue. If there is no transparency in dialogue, and if there is no openness in interaction, the consequences will be drastic - the readers will leave and migrate to other blogs.

    Through blogging, you can reach the world of readers with your varied posts. With your pre-defined goals in mind for your blog, strive to achieve credibility with the readers by posting relevant content, not forgetting having honest interaction and transparent dialogue, all in the name of good blogging.
